CEO, Ismail Gafoor started a real estate company with his wife in January 1996. This company, NOORIS CONSULTANTS PTE LTD was at Apollo Centre at Havelock Road – a mere 350ft2 premise PRULINK REALTY PTE LTD was set up by two partners, Joseph Lee and Alan Lim. They opened their first office at Hougang, also a 350ft2 premise and commenced operations that same year.

PropNex presented a cheque of $750,000 to Community Chest, in the presence of Minister Desmond Lee and the Chairman of Community Chest, Mr Phillip Tan. Of this, $250,000 has been channelled to help the needy who are affected by the COVID-19 situation as well as the frontline heroes who are fighting the virus. Another $500,000 will go to the Community Chest, benefitting the less fortunate and underprivileged children. This is part of our pledge to donate $5 million to the Community Chest by 2023.
On 20 Aug 2019 during the PropNex 2nd Quarterly Convention, the $500,000 cheque was officially given to Mr Phillip Tan, president of the Community Chest, in the presence of guest- of-honour Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Home Affairs. That same year, we are also proud to honour 10 Platinum Charity Ambassadors, salespersons who stepped forward to contribute $10,000 to charity.
PropNex officially presented a cheque for $500,000 to Community Chest in the presence of the President of Singapore, Madam Halimah Yacob on 14 August 2018 at the 2nd Quarterly Convention. The latest donation took our total contribution to $2.4million since 2013. At the same event, we pledged to contribute another $2.6million in the next five years, taking our total contribution to Community Chest to $5million by 2023.
On 15 Aug 2017, a $500,000 cheque was officially given to Mr Phillip Tan, president of the Community Chest, in the presence of guest-of-honour Mr Desmond Lee, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Home Affairs and Second Minister for National Development, during the 2nd Quarterly Convention attended by more 2,000 PropNex salespersons. At the Community Chest Awards 2017 held at The Istana, KEO, Mr Lim Yong Hock represented the agency to receive the 2016 Corporate Platinum Award from President Halimah Yacob for our continued contributions of $500,000.
In our continuous efforts in helping the beneficiaries of Community Chest, PropNex consultants have pledged to share part of their commissions, solicited donations from their clients and loved ones. PropNex will also match their contributions, dollar-for-dollar, to put together the $500,000 donation this year to help the children of Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School, Rainbow Center Margaret Drive School, St Andrew's Autism School, Grace Orchard School and AWWA School. We are happy to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the less fortunate in our community.
In the name of the nation's golden jubilee, PropNex raised close to $250,000, with the company matching dollar-to-dollar amounting to a total contribution of $500,000 to Community Chest. In order to raise this amount, PropNex continued the SHARE programme through so that we can donate regularly and conveniently.
We also started a fund-raising campaign in which PropNex donated $50 for every #heartbeatsSG50 video posted on social media platforms. To round off a special year of giving, PropNex also organised a flag day whereby all staff and salespersons went out to the streets with a specially designed tin – to raise more for charity.
In a move that is first of its kind; PropNex salespersons pledged a portion of their commission to SHARE, Community Chest's workplace giving programme through which employees can donate regularly and conveniently. In just 6 months, the company raised $300,000 for this worthy cause. The money raised was channeled to three special schools catering to children with disabilities. The schools are Lighthouse School, which helps children with hearing and visual impairment, MINDS Towner Gardens School to optimize the potential of children with mild intellectual disability and autism and the Rainbow Centre - Yishun Park School which works with children with multiple disabilities.
In conjunction with Singapore's 47th National Day Celebration, Col(NS) Mohamed Ismail - CEO of PropNex Realty and 20 handpicked PropNex Ambassadors together with 20 Children beneficiaries of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STPMF) engaged in the making of mini-figurines for the NDP12 Engagement Activity “Building a LovingSG” at Marina Square Shopping Mall.
This event is part of “PropNex Ambassadors' Care” project, which aims to raise funds for the underprivileged children in Singapore in building resilience and independence through education, and also a way to cultivate a sense of pride to be a Singaporean for these future pillars of Singapore.
Over 40 staff and salespersons volunteered to have their hair shaved for the Hair for Hope initiative to help Children's Cancer Foundation to increase awareness of cancer and improve the lives of children with cancer and their families. In all, we raised $50,000 for children fighting in solidarity against cancer.

PropNex went on another school-building mission, this time in the village of Trayong Pong, a two-hour drive north from Phnom Penh. Built from scratch, the school can accommodate up to 250 students. Students previously had to walk nearly 8 km to the nearest school - risking road hazards. Now getting an education has never been more convenient and safe.
PropNex commits to donate $30,000 over three years to the Singapore Children's Society as a Leading Enterprise Sponsor. This is under our corporate social responsibility theme of Empowering Future Generations Through Education.
One of our most massive projects was embarked upon in 2009 as well. The “PropNex Cares” Programme raised over $70,000 to build a school in Cambodia. With a 35-man strong contingent and 13 Victoria Junior College students, the team traveled to the country to paint the educational facility, build a water filtration system that provided portable drinking water, a pumping well, toilet cubicles and distribution of donated items to over 750 students.
