PropNex has partnered with Singapore Industrial Services Employees’ Union (SISEU) in setting up the “PropNex Real Estate Salespersons Chapter – Agents’ Voice Matters” which is the FIRST real estate agency to have a formalized framework supported by SISEU. It serves to look into the welfare, promoting professionalism in enhancing the business and industry practices and allows a platform for raising issues, protecting real estate salespersons and forging towards fair practices. PropNex is the only real estate agency in Singapore to have a labour union representation.

OUR OBJECTIVES

What is the PropNex Real Estate Salespersons Chapter about?

The real estate industry is truly an integral part of our economy, immensely contributing to our GDP, supporting a huge workforce from developers to construction firms, design, architecture, civil/ structural and electrical engineering, landscaping, plumbers, stone masons, painters, all these just to name a few.

These individuals assist buyers, sellers, investors, landlords, tenants, business operators and everyone in their real estate journeys, understanding their needs, planning their budget, and navigating the policies in today’s property market. In most instances, they play a significant role in guiding these people through their biggest decision of their lives, a commitment they carry through over the next 20, 30 years and beyond.

As a self-employed, their welfare, contractual obligations, and the plight of these individuals who are the real estate salespersons do not come under any organization or authority to be heard or looked into.

It is timely that the collective voices of real estate salespersons are HEARD and they are RESPECTED in the community as a profession that adds greater value to our society. As such, PropNex has taken the LEAD in the industry to empower salespersons and strengthen our platform as a FAIR and PROGRESSIVE real estate agency.

PropNex has partnered with Singapore Industrial & Services Employees’ Union (SISEU) in setting up the “PropNex Real Estate Salespersons Chapter – Agents’ Voice Matters” which is the FIRST real estate agency to have a formalized framework supported by SISEU. It serves to look into the welfare, promoting professionalism in enhancing the business and industry practices and allows a platform for raising issues, protecting real estate salespersons and forging towards fair practices.

This collaboration with SISEU allows PropNex chapter members to take the lead in playing a more active and vital role in voicing their concerns and educating fellow salespersons of fair practices in the industry. A committee has been set up to be the voice for our salespersons and they will be working closely with the guidance of SISEU on improving the competencies of the salespersons as well as an avenue for bi-partite deliberation with SISEU to provide workplace advice.

The Chapter will require the sign up of NTUC membership under the PropNex Real Estate Salespersons Chapter ambit and the membership is bundled with all prevailing NTUC welfare and benefits as well as SISEU only benefits.

What is the difference between a Chapter and Union?

A union is primarily set up to represent employees under a contract of service with an employer.

In the case of our PropNex Real Estate Salespersons Chapter, the professional chapter is set up in partnership with SISEU to serve self-employed PropNex Real Estate Salespersons in the following areas:

Promoting training, welfare, and professionalism in enhancing the business and industry practices.

To protect real estate salespersons and forge towards fair practices through constant communication and engagement with PropNex management and relevant stakeholders through support from SISEU.
