COVE DRIVE

The interiors are commodious offers a sensible and functional living space. This unique home was created with lifestyle spaces to yield joy through family interaction: 20m lap pool and well-manicured garden. This home is a contemporary tropical hut that could be opened or closed depending on the mood and the climatic conditions. Essentially, it was a glass box encased timber. The timber sourced for the house had to be recycled teak – a tropical hardwood resistant to termites, the punishing heat and humidity. The home cuts a striking figure along Ocean Drive. Stand back and you’ll observe how columns are utilized to hold the main structure and roof. It exudes an ethereal look – like a glass box enveloped in timber with internal walls used only to divide the ground floor bedrooms. In fact, the roof structures offers a central skylight where sunlight enters through the exposed teak beams, creating an interplay of shadows that lends character to Bedmar’s design ethos. The roof also has a traditional pitch that can perfectly tackle the intensity of rain during the monsoon months. This property is avail for both rent and sale.
